You can save hundreds of dollars a year by purchasing items with the lowest price per unit.
To save on household goods, try an op shop for clothes and furniture. Some of the old furniture would come up really nice with a new coat of paint!! And try swapping sites on the internet such as freecycle, and books sites like bookmmoch. I've got just about all my university textbooks from bookmooch, and some very nice furniture from freecycle. :)
If you currently use several credit cards, consider doing away with all but one and pay off the balance each month. You can save hundreds, even thousands, of dollars a year by avoiding credit card interest charges.
